Ann Haas
March 30, 1940 - September 10, 2017

Ann Haas, 77, passed away September 10, 2017 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. Ms. Haas was a nurse serving the Vicksburg Community from 1960-2010. She was a member of the Redbone Methodist Church in Vicksburg, Ms. She was born in New Orleans, La., grew up in McComb, Ms., where she graduated from high school before moving to Vicksburg, Ms., to attend nursing training from the Sisters of Mercy. She is preceded in death by her husband Noel Samuel Haas, Her parents James Norborn Jones and Christine Jackson Jones, Brother James Guinn Jones Sr., Aunt Bessie Jackson Taylor. She is survived by her children two daughters Virginia (David) Feder, Christine ( Trint) Rogers, two sons Sam (Melissa) Haas, Karl (Jesse) Haas, one brother Jackson (Beverly) Jones, eight grandchildren; Patrick (Erin) Ward, Tre Haas, Tyler (Brooke) Haas, Travis Haas, Bailey Rogers, Lydia Rogers, Daxton Haas and Bryson Haas. Four great grandchildren; Landon Ward, Lexi Ward, Maggie Haas and Kherrington Haas and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tre Haas, Tyler Haas, Travis Haas, Patrick Ward Montrell Allen, Sean Dixon, Warren Ellis and Seth Libbey. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John R. Barnes. Special thanks goes out to the Vicksburg Convalescent Nursing Home Staff, Merit Health River Region Staff, Dr. Henry Jarmon, Dr. Sultan, Dr. Clark, and Dr. Oluwatade. Service will be Thursday September 14, 2017 at the Glenwood Chapel in Vicksburg, burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, visitation will be Wednesday evening September 13, 2017 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, Ms. In Lieu of flowers the family asks to send donations to the Vicksburg Warren Humane Society 6600 Highway 61 S, Vicksburg, MS 39180 or to the Redbone Methodist Church 43 Burnt House Rd, Vicksburg, MS 39180. Rev. John Evans Will be officiating the service under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
