Inez Horger Ehrgott

Inez Horger Ehrgott passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. She was 80 years old. She was born in Greenville, South Carolina on September 18, 1943, to Edgar Olin Horger, Jr. and Frances Durant Jordan Horger. She spent 31 years as a teacher at Warren Central High School. She earned her BA at Brenau College, Gainesville, Georgia, and she earned her MA in English at Mississippi State University.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Qua Ehrgott; parents, Edgar Olin Horger, Jr. and Frances Durant Jordan Horger; and siblings, Edgar Olin Horger, III and Frank Frances Jordan Horger.

She is survived by her children, Stacy Brock (Kenny), John Ehrgott, Jr. (Kristy), Scot Ehrgott (Anna); sister, Claire Gifford Horger (Allen); grandchildren, Kalie Bellinger, Justin Ehrgott, Jaleigh Ehrgott, Kinsey Bellinger, John Ellis Ehrgott, Eva Jean Ehrgott, Sam Brock and John Kendall Brock.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Christ Episcopal Church. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Garden Cemetery.
